Djeco

Djeco is a family business specializing in children's toys and games. Based in France, it was started in 1954 by an adventurous woman, Veronique Michel-Dales who embarked on producing educational games that would be intelligent, attractive and most importantly, fun! The company name is a reference to the gecko, also known as the “lucky lizard”.

The family business is now run by Veroniques son, Frederic who has taken the “playground” to an all new level. Frederic has taken both his and his mother's dreams and created new toys, games and educational tools and combined it with art. The range now includes wooden and cardboard jigsaws, wooden toys as well as card and board games. So innovative is Djeco that they are the team behind the original “craft kits” for creative pastime which they have regularly updated and added since their inception.

So popular have Djeco toys and games become, they are now global and children in over 60 counties play with them. Djecos’ products have become so prestigious that they are featured at the Louvre and Quai Branly in France, the Tate Museum in the UK, MoMA in the US and countless other museums around the world.

bug + bean kids are extremely proud to be one of the specialist stores to be allowed to sell these wonderful products.
