Shipping Policy

USPS is currently experiencing delays that are out of our control.  We have added UPS options at checkout if you prefer this shipping method.  

UPS does not pickup/deliver on weekends and public holidays, please keep this in mind when selecting your shipping service and allow next business day for delivery.  Per UPS, "The UPS Service Guarantee is suspended for all shipments from any origin to any destination. Commit times for some services have also changed."

Once packages are shipped from our Ohio warehouse, there may temporarily be shipping delays due to limited transportation availability and increased volume with USPS and our other shipping carriers as a result of COVID-19.

Shipping Insurance / Package Protection

bug + bean kids is proud to partner with Route, the leader in package protection and tracking solutions. By selecting Route+ at checkout your order will be 100% protected from damage, loss*, or theft. In the unfortunate case that your order never comes or is broken upon arrival, you can easily file a claim with Route and receive a replacement or be fully reimbursed. We are excited to offer this service to you and we highly recommend you use Route+ package protection at checkout.

Should you deselect Route coverage, we are NOT responsible for your package.

*Claims for packages marked "delivered" yet not received and where there is no evidence of “porch piracy” must be made 5 days after “delivery date” but no longer than 15 days to ensure it was not misdelivered or easily found around the premises." Claims for packages presumed to be lost (where the status is not "delivered") must be filed after 7 days (20 days for international) and within 30 days from the last checkpoint.

Shipping

Warehouse processing times are 1-3 business days. 

All estimated shipping times are effective once the order has been processed.  We do prioritized orders that have paid for priority shipping, however we cannot guarantee your order will be processed same/next day.  Holidays and site sales will likely extend processing and shipping times.

All orders are shipped on business days (Monday-Friday) excluding holidays.

Please note that once a package is in transit, bug + bean kids is unable to cancel the order.

Pre-order:  If you order an item that is on pre-order along with an in-stock item we will ship the entire order once all items are available.  If you would like your items shipped as soon as they are available please place separate orders.

Domestic

Orders over $50.00: FREE USPS First-Class (3-7 business days)

Orders under $50.00: $4.99 USPS First-Class (3-7 business days)

USPS Priority: $8.99 (2-3 business days)

USPS Priority w signature: $11.99 (2-3 business days)

PLEASE NOTE: Use of a coupon code may bring your order under the $50.00 subtotal for free shipping and therefore you will be charged a shipping fee.

*This timeline is a USPS estimate and is not guaranteed.  On rare occasion, orders will be delivered outside of the projected timeline.

If you live in an apartment or shared living situation where you do not have an accessible and secure mailbox for USPS or other shipping service we strongly advise that you pay for the "signature confirmation" service.  bug + bean kids is not responsible for orders that are not delivered or received by the Customer if the carrier service shows the item to be delivered as per the tracking details. In any transaction with bug + bean kids the Customer is responsible for providing a shipping address that is safe, secure and accessible by USPS and or any other shipping service. bug + bean kids is not responsible for any orders that are stolen or accidentally picked up by another person or persons as we have no control over the shipping address' safety or security, this is the Customers responsibility.

We ship all orders from our warehouse in Hannibal, OH.


International

All orders outside the US: we provide International carrier options including, DHL, UPS and USPS International. We recommend DHL where possible, but the decision is yours.

The customer is responsible for all international taxes and customs duties owed.

Some items are available for pre-order, in which case, the estimated time until dispatch will be available in the item details.  This is only an estimate and maybe sooner/later depending on availability.

bug + bean kids is not responsible for packages once they have been scanned and delivered.

Your order says it has been delivered and you say it was not.  Unfortunately, this is an issue that only you can resolve.  We recommend going to your local USPS office and asking your postal delivery person if they remember delivering the package.  90% of the time, it is either at the local post or was delivered to a neighbor by accident. We cannot refund or send a new order if your tracking says it has been delivered.

Can I update an address if I entered the incorrect one at checkout?  If you email ([email protected]) us before your order has been shipped, we will revise this for you at no cost.  If your order has already been shipped, we can only resend the order once the original package has been returned to us.  To reship an order, we will issue a reshipment invoice that must be paid in full before our team will process.
